Principles creating complexes of on-board equipment perspective aircraft

The widespread use by probable adversary of new technologies and forms of armed struggle against the use of promising expensive equipment forces us to develop similar systems in the Armed Forces of Russia. At the same time, the use of the old principles of the creation of aviation complexes does not allow to reduce the cost of perspective avionics and calls into question the very possibility of its creation.

The article proposes technical and organizational principles for creating complexes for on-board radio-electronic equipment of perspective aircraft, taking into account new tendencies in the development of weapons and allowing to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of carrying out development work. The technical principles of creating airborne equipment complexes are the principles on which the complexes are built. Among them are the principles of integration, unification and basicity, the principle of modularity and the principle of network-centricity of equipment. Organizational principles are the principles on which the development of the complex is based. Among them are the principles of independence, consistency, principles of thoroughness and responsibility, the principle automation of decision-making.

The effect of the application of these principles in the development of aviation equipment is shown. So, the transition to the technology of creating basic integrated complexes of bort equipment leads to a decrease in the cost of avionics from tens of percent to several times, depending on the degree of unification of equipment. The use of automation of the design of complexes allows to  increase the speed of execution of works two or more times.

The consideration of these principles is important not only in the creation of aviation complexes, but also in the development of other weapons and military equipment. At the same time, in each specific case, these principles require new thinking, thinking over the mechanisms for their implementation.
