Abstract:

Communication between artificial Earth satellites, the distance between which can reach several thousand kilometers, requires antennas with a high gain, well matched with the feeder path. The article presents the results of developing a matching device for coupling a Cassegrain antenna with a signal source for communication between satellites and optimizing its parameters to obtain the maximum gain. Various options for a matching device for coupling a Cassegrain antenna with a feeder path have been considered. For all options, projects have been developed in CST Microwave Studio CAD and calculations of the radiation pattern and reflection coefficient of the antenna with the matching device have been performed. The best results have been achieved in the matching option using an additional conical transition. The results of the work will be used in designing antenna systems for communication between artificial Earth satellites.
