The paper considers the influence of the cross-sectional shape of conductors of multiconductor transmission lines on the accuracy of calculating their parameters and characteristics using the method of moments. Nine variations of the edges of conductors with three sets of geometric parameters of a three-wire microstrip transmission line cross-section were studied. The electrostatic and electromagnetic induction coefficient matrices are calculated and the waveforms at the far end of the transmission line are calculated. It is shown that as the width of the conductors increases, the influence of the shape of the cross–section of their edges on the parameters and characteristics of the line decreases, and as the thickness increases, it increases. It is also shown that the greatest difference in electromagnetic induction coefficient matrices is observed during the transition from rectangular to trapezoidal edges, and in electrostatic ones – from rectangular edges to rounded in their upper and lower parts
