Method for the Solution of Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Scattering Problems on 3-D Dielectric Structures

Abstract:
In the paper , we consider singular volume integral equations describing electromagnetic wave scattering in bounded anisotropic structures. We analyze the problem of finding the spectrum of these operators. A closed-form expression describing the continuous part of the spectrum on the complex plane is obtained. For low-frequency scattering problems, we find a domain where the discrete spectrum is located. We describe a generalized overrelaxation method, using the information on the spectrum of integral operators, show that it can be efficient in low-frequency scattering problems.
