With the advancement of digital technologies in medicine, the development of intelligent decision support systems has become a key area of research. One of the persistent challenges in this domain is accurate disease diagnosis, especially under the influence of dynamic external factors such as stress. In epilepsy, stress can act as a significant trigger, exacerbating seizures and distorting the clinical picture, thereby complicating the objective evaluation of the patient’s condition.
This study aims to develop a system for assessing the impact of stress on the likelihood of epileptic seizures through the analysis of physiological biomarkers. The proposed solution is designed to provide epileptologists with real-time diagnostic insights into the patient’s condition.
The research includes a scientific rationale for the relationship between stress and physiological indicators, particularly those associated with seizure activity. A formalized decision support framework has been developed, incorporating the Hurwicz criterion as a tool for evaluating patient symptoms under uncertainty in diagnostic decision-making. The practical significance of the proposed system lies in its ability to enhance diagnostic accuracy and speed. By offering real-time analysis of stress-related physiological data and suggesting likely diagnoses, the system supports clinicians in making more informed decisions, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
