Every year, more than a million people in Russia are on artificial lung ventilation (ventilator). At the same time, the trachea is damaged (an incision is made on it), and 67% of patients who have undergone tracheostomy develop cicatricial stenoses, which require expensive, serious and dangerous reconstructive operations in the future (mortality is more than 50%) [1]. Doctors and engineers are looking for ways to reduce the risk of complications with ventilation.
Aim – the main aim of this article is to identify the most relevant technological and engineering solutions for the creation of devices for the comprehensive prevention of complications during artificial ventilation.
The modern nomenclature of devices for the complex prevention of complications during ventilation has been studied. The authors found devices with cough maneuver most relevant. A list of technical and ergonomic requirements for a comprehensive preventive maintenance device has been compiled.
