The problem of adapting the parameters of the Pan-Tompkins algorithm for correct operation, taking into account the differences in physiologically significant indicators of cardiosignals of model animals and humans, is considered. An example of the classical technique for recording an ECG signal in laboratory rats when these rodents are put into a sedative state is given, which requires adjustment taking into account the effect of sedative drugs on the control signals of the rhythm.
The purpose of the work is clarification of the parameters of diagnostically significant parts of the cardiac signal of model animals, in particular rats, as well as adaptation of the parameters of the Pan-Tompkins algorithm for correct operation in data interpretation.
Results. For data processing and correct interpretation of signals in the analysis of rat HRV and the ratio of ECG signal sections to human ECG, diagnostically important signal elements were selected, and differences in the time intervals of cardiosignal segments were described. In the process of analyzing the obtained data, the parameters that affect the operation of the Pan-Tompkins algorithm were adjusted.
The corrected algorithm allows to evaluate the HRV of rats, considering the physiological characteristics of the biological species, to identify differences in diagnostically significant intervals of the cardiosignal, allowing you to correctly correlate the data obtained from the analysis of HRV in rats to humans. Examples of the parameters of the Pan-Tompkins algorithm are given, such as the length of the window for finding a local maximum, moving average, the rate of adaptation of threshold values and other parameters necessary for the correct operation of the algorithm.
