Spase weather and the efficiency of unstable angina treatment with the use of electromagnetic millimeter irradiation

Abstract:
There had been analyzed clinical state and results of the therapy of patients with unstable angina during the 11 years of the solar cycle (September, 1996 - September, 2007) depending on the heliogeomagnetic activity period. In the period of 1996-2001 years (solar activity growth stage) an average value of a daily Kp-index range was 16,19±0,18 (the period of lower geomagnetic activity - LGA), and in the period of 2002-2007 years (solar activity decay stage) - 17,25±0,21 (p<0,05) (the period of higher geomagnetic activity - HGA). All the patients got standard drug therapy (aspirin, β-blockers, nitrates, etc.). Besides, in 65 patients there had been performed a supportive treatment on the background of a drug therapy - electromagnetic millimeter irradiation EMI: in the period of LGA - in 45 persons, in the period of HGA - in 20 persons. The course of EHF-therapy with the use of 7,1 mm wave length of an intermittent radiation mode included 10 sessions and was performed by the - Явь-1 - [yav - odin] apparatus. There had been determined: an antianginal effect of the therapy, the dynamics of heartbeat frequency, indices of systolic1 and diastiolik blood pressure (BP), blood rheological properties before and after the therapy. It had been fixed that the patients - state did not differ in angina episodes frequency and daily nitroglycerin requirement at the moment of admission in the period of HGA and LGA. The period of a LGA is characterized by more unstable clinical state of the patients: progressing of angina appears at a lower heartbeat frequency and BP value, and at less evident lipid spectrum disorders. Rheological disorders appear on the background of normal fibrinogen level (without an activation of a blood clotting III phase). The supportive use of EMI intensifies antianginal effect of a drug therapy independently on GA. The EMI in the period of a LGA stimulates antihypertensive response of medications towards to diastolic BP; in the period of a HGA - towards to systolic BP. Addition of EMI anticipates terms of stabilization of the patients only at a LGA. Effects of a complex therapy with the use of EMI depend on a period of a geomagnetic activity. At a HGA quicker and more significant antianginal effect and antihypertensive response are denoted, but (unlike with the period of a LGA) pulse slowing effect of EMI does not appear. Rheoprotective effect of a complex therapy with the use of EMI exceeds the drug therapy as in the period of a low GA as high. The basic additional EMI effect, comparing with a drug therapy in the period of a low and high GA, is a positive exposure on microcirculatory component of hemostasis system - blood viscosity (BV) in vessels of small diameter. The normalization of the BV20 sec-1 with the use of EMI appears only in the period of a LGA, and in the HGA there was just statistically valid decrease of BV20 sec-1. The received data show that the state of electromagnetic field of the heliogeophysical source (geomagnetic perturbation) can regulate the efficiency of unstable angina treatment by radiation of millimeter band.
