Abstract:

Problem statement. Modern digital communication networks (DCN) operate in an environment of continuously growing volumes of transmitted information and increasing complexity of the network infrastructure. This leads to increased load on switching nodes (SN) and communication channels (CC), resulting in system overloads that lead to an unacceptable reduction in the efficiency of information exchange (IE). Additionally, various destabilizing factors, including both natural and technical interference, significantly negatively impact information transfer processes. Under these conditions, the rational use of available DCN resources is particularly pressing, as existing capabilities for transmitting and storing information are not always utilized effectively with traditional routing approaches. Consequently, a contradiction arises between the available DCN channel and network resources and the ability to effectively utilize them to ensure IE with the required quality under conditions of high incoming traffic and exposure to destabilizing factors. This contradiction can be resolved by implementing a set of measures to ensure optimal distribution of information flows (routing), taking into account the capabilities of the centralized information system IE for transmitting and storing information, as well as the impact of destabilizing factors. Therefore, the search for new methods of distributing information flows based on the use of a comprehensive metric that simultaneously accounts for the characteristics of the information object and the impact of destabilizing factors along the transmission route is relevant. Ultimately, solving this problem has important scientific and practical significance for ensuring the timeliness and reliability of information transmission in the IE.

Purpose. To Improving the accuracy of determining the optimal route for transmitting information from the SN-sender to the SN-recipient under the influence of destabilizing factors through additional evaluation of noise immunity indicators at each communication interval and the formation of a complex metric indicator for the efficient distribution of information flows in DCN.

Results. A method for distributing information flows for routing in DCN has been developed based on a complex metric indicator that takes into account the characteristics of IE and the impact of destabilizing factors. A structural diagram of a device for implementing the resulting method using existing hardware components is presented. Using the mathematical apparatus of queuing system theory, a simulation modeling of IE in DCN with a given structure was conducted under conditions of varying incoming traffic intensity and the impact of destabilizing factors when organizing routing according to the developed method and according to a known method that minimizes the number of transit control points using Dijkstra's shortest path algorithm. An analysis of the simulation results is presented, demonstrating an increase in the efficiency of IE, expressed as an increase in the value of the information efficiency function when using the proposed routing method in DCN.

Practical significance. Based on the research findings, practical recommendations were formulated for the application of the developed method for distributing information flows in the algorithmic support of DCN. These recommendations allow for the current network state and the impact of destabilizing factors to be taken into account when selecting information transmission routes. This ensures increased accuracy in determining the optimal route and maintaining high IE efficiency over a wide range of incoming traffic fluctuations. Prospects for further research in the organization of highly mobile DCN for various purposes with complex and dynamically changing structures are identified, including the use of a repeater network based on a swarm of unmanned aerial vehicles.
