Abstract:

Problem statement. The rapid advancement of mobile objects (MOs) and the expansion of their application scope impose increasingly stringent requirements on the antennas of radio communication and radio navigation systems employed therein. Antennas, being a critical element of the radio channel, determine the range and reliability of these systems; however, their design involves a number of inherent trade-offs. The core challenge lies in the need to satisfy a set of conflicting requirements — namely, high gain, an omnidirectional radiation pattern with minimal ripple, and a wide operating frequency band — while simultaneously adhering to severe constraints on size and weight. In this context, the development of antennas for MOs that meet the aforementioned specifications becomes particularly relevant.

Practical significance. The developed antenna prototypes can be successfully employed in radio communication systems to provide data exchange between mobile objects and the control station, as well as in radio navigation systems for spatial orientation of MO.
