Abstract:

Problem Statement. Recently, there has been an increase in the number of radio interference incidents within the Russian Federation across the frequency bands of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). This interference mimics the structure of useful radio signals, leading to the measurement of false radionavigation parameters and the generation of unreliable navigation solutions in GNSS user equipment. At the same time, alongside the reception of spoofing interference, a sufficient number of authentic radio signals may still be received to form a reliable navigation solution. In such scenarios statistical decision theory allows for the development of a positioning algorithm that operates in the presence of both authentic and false measurements of radionavigation parameters in an arbitrary ratio. Of particular interest are the potential reliability characteristics of the navigation solution obtained via this algorithm, as well as the feasibility of its practical implementation.

Objective. To present an algorithm that ensures potentially achievable accuracy and reliability characteristics of the navigation solution in GNSS user equipment, and to evaluate its performance in the presence of faulty pseudorange measurements.

Results. Dependencies of the probability of forming a reliable navigation solution on the number of authentic pseudorange measurements have been obtained. It is demonstrated that to achieve an acceptable reliability level of Pдост > 0.9, only one faulty pseudorange observation is permissible. It was revealed that in the presence of only four authentic pseudorange observations, it is impossible to achieve any significant reliability for the navigation solution.

Practical Significance. The presented results can be utilized to enhance the reliability of navigation positioning in GNSS user equipment.
