Abstract:

The article considers the issue of relevance of ground-based equipment for ionosphere sounding and investigates some parameters of the ionospheric network of Roshydromet, equipped with Russian ionosondes “Parus-A”. The analysis of antenna systems used in these ionosondes has been carried out. The peculiarities of the reception of oblique sounding signals depending on the mutual arrangement of the antennas have been analyzed. A proposal has been made to take these issues into account in the development of new domestic ionosondes.
