When operating radio systems in a complex electromagnetic environment, in conditions with increased requirements for electromagnetic compatibility, requirements are imposed on it antenna array including the polar characteristic of the directional pattern. In the case of simultaneous operation of two radio systems in the same frequency range on orthogonal polarizations, the receiving quality of each of them may deteriorate due to an increase in the signal level received on the cross-polar component from an adjacent system. However, the channel and control system of this component of the field may not be structurally provided in the antenna array.
The goal of the article is to improve the receiving quality by the antenna array on the main polarization in conditions of exposure to signals on orthogonal polarization.
Using the adaptive synthesis method, the relations for calculating the channel’s path coefficients of the antenna array have been obtained, which allow reducing the level of the cross-polar component in the directional pattern of the antenna array while maintaining an almost unchanged level of the directional pattern on the main polarization.
The use of the results of the article makes it possible to improve the receiving quality by a radio system under the influence of interference on cross-polar field for the case when the antenna doesn’t have two polarization bases, and the control of complex coefficients in the channels path of the antenna array affects two orthogonal components of the field simultaneously.
