Abstract:

Radio-absorbing materials (RAM) are widely used in the radio industry and instrumentation when creating anechoic chambers, loads, absorbers in waveguide and other microwave devices, to reduce the radar visibility of products and objects of military equipment, to combat “parasitic” connections between blocks and components of RF blocks, to protect personnel from microwave radiation. RAMs based on polymer binder and special fillers have found the most widespread application for solving these problems, but such materials are not capable of carrying structural loads. One of the likely solutions to this problem may be the use of carbon fiber plastics produced in large quantities by the domestic industry.
