Abstract:

In this paper we propose a method for calculating dual-reflector non-axisymmetric antennas with a rectangular aperture. The necessary relations allowing calculating the reflector surfaces of a dual-reflector antenna have been given, and an example of calculating the Gregory type antenna system with the ratio of the rectangle sides of 1:10 and the uniform distribution of the field over the aperture has been given. The paper presents the main electrodynamic characteristics of the antenna with a rectangular aperture and compares the characteristics of the antenna with an elliptical aperture. It has been shown that the proposed method allows calculating the reflector profiles that provide the required electrodynamic characteristics of reflector antennas with a rectangular aperture.
