Urgency of investigation and development of the new types of construction of log-periodic dipole antennas which are currently used for reception and transfer of VHF–UHF radio signals has been justified. The log-periodic dipole antenna designs with improved electrical characteristics have been proposed. The additional dipoles are used to expand the operating frequency range and installed near the shortest and the longest vibrators of a log-periodic dipole antenna. This provides the extension of the operating frequency range by 10–15 percents. The offered designs of antennas will allow expanding possibilities of their communication objects practical application.
