Abstract:

The ring antenna arrays with a multi-beam radiation pattern having several main lobes which oriented in different azimuth directions have been investigated. The methods of forming of the multi-beam radiation pattern having the maximum value of generalized and weighted average realized gain have been proposed. The excitation amplitudes of the array elements have been found as a result of application of the known theorems of linear algebra. Numerical calculations have been performed for a cylindrical antenna array of infinite narrow slits which input feeder include the four-pole networks for carrying out the ideal matching for uniform excitation. The criterions of optimization have been compared for any main lobes orientations and ratio gain values.
