Abstract:

The comparison results of analysis of potential accuracy of optimal direction finding with using of the spectral-correlation method and the monopulse method have been given. The dependencies of direction finding accuracy on the directional characteristics of antennas based on multichannel digital phased arrays and monopulse phased arrays with the sum-difference method of direction finding have been investigated. It has been shown that the monopulse method with forming the optimal sum-difference direction-finding characteristic is worse approximately in 1,4 times than the optimal digital method.
