Abstract:

The dependencies of the electric strength of the field generated by radiation of the radar antenna of the airborne warning and control complex A-50 on the height above ground level, have been measured in a number of discrete positions in the near-field zone. The phase distribution has been chosen so that the projecting ray of the radar antenna is squinted down on a fixed angle of 15.5°, while the azimuth antenna orientation is realized according to the signal maximum criterion in each position. Measurements have been carried out with using of the vertical scanner antenna in the height interval of 1,7…4,9 m. Some of measuring points have been located in the diffraction zone of the projecting ray while other ones – in the zone diffraction of an extraneous field outside of this ray. The approximate mathematical model for electric field estimation in such points has been considered. It has been shown that numerical results insignificantly differ from experimental results
