Abstract:

The possibilities of optimal direction finding of broadband signals by an antenna array have been considered on the basis of the Keipon superresolution method and the "thermal noise" superresolution method. Based on the known relationships for formation of the direction-finding relief when direction finding of narrow-band signals, the main regularities that provide the optimal formation of the direction-finding relief when direction finding of broadband signals have been derived. Numerical simulation of the obtained regularities has shown that the direction-finding relief is optimally formed not only in the direction of the radiation sources of broadband signals but also for those frequencies for which the spectral density of the signals is not equal to zero.
