Abstract:

The results of analysis of signal distortions when propagating through the ionospheric satellite communication channels have been presented in the article. The descriptions of signal distortions are based on the time-impulse response or on the frequency-domain solution for the ionospheric channel as a linear filter. The signal/noise degradations due to signal distortions have been evaluated.
