Abstract:

The analysis of the modeling results of radio waves interference in L-, S- and X-band antenna arrays when receiving the radio signals at small elevation angles has been carried out. The results of simulation of the effect of radio interference on the energy potential of the radio system have been given in dependence on the frequency range, the phase center height of the antenna array, and in the presence and the absence of precipitation. It has been shown that efficiency of detection of radio signal reflected from an object at small elevation angles for the radio system with the height of the antenna phase center more than 15–30 m at L-band is quite comparable with similar systems in S and X frequency bands.
