Abstract:
In some applied tasks the possibility of increase of efficiency of the radio radiating means on the basis of powerful relativistic generators is connected with the choice of the antenna providing uniform distribution of the electromagnetic field in the horizontal plane. Such antenna is the cylindrical superficial antenna realized in the form of a window of a cylin-drical form in the generator case. When carrying out an assessment of potential opportunities of generators as a part of the radio radiating means it is necessary to know charts of orientations and coefficients of the directed operation of the used antennas. For cylindrical superficial antennas of similar data in widely known literature isn\'t present. The purpose of work is receiving analytical expressions of directional patterns of the cylindrical superficial antenna. Models of distributions of complex amplitudes of components of intensity of electric field of the antenna at her excitement by the monochromatic field focused parallel to a symmetry axis are developed for achievement of this purpose. The principle of superposition and laws of transformation of coordinates are the cornerstone of models. By means of these models the general expressions of amplitude directional patterns of each of components of intensity of the field are received. It is shown that at circular symmetric excitement of the antenna the radiated field has only a meridional component. For a case of uniform and in-phase distribution of the exciting field directional patterns and coefficient of the directed operation of the cylindrical superficial antenna are calculated. The directional pattern on an antiaircraft corner has the form, classical for aperture antennas. It is established that at uniform and in-phase excitement of the cylindrical superficial antenna fluctuations with lengths of the waves which aren\'t surpassing antenna basis radius, the coefficient of the directed action in the direction of the maximum radiation is defined by the doubled antenna height relation to wavelength and practically doesn\'t depend on basis radius.
