Abstract:
In the article the problems arising during design and creation of antenna fields of large extent on basis of antenna arrays with sharp directed elements have been considered. The demand of such systems is dictated by their unique opportunities regarding the solution of new tasks in the field of radar-location, radio astronomy, military equipment, etc. However potential opportunities of antenna fields are used far short, despite existence of the huge antenna constructions which are already operated in a number of countries of the West.
The methods of increase of efficiency of antenna fields on basis of the unequally spaced antenna arrays with mirror antennas have been considered. The problems of management of position of the phase center of such antennas and electronic control of direction of the main beam in bounded limits of the main lobe width of an antenna element on half power level with use of a new method of aperture orthogonal polynoms have been solved [1].
