Abstract:
The aim of the presented paper is design of the powerful ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulses (UWB EMP) antennas. These antennas provide carrying out criterion research of the radio electronic systems stability to the influence of this type of radiation. The actuality is determined by the increase in system sensitivity to external noise, which is associated with the increase in the integration of components and its performance, and by the need for the protection from possible deliberate usage of devices built on the principles of UWB EMP.
The problems of modeling, manufacturing and measuring of amplitude-time parameters of UWB EMR radiators based on the combined antenna and parabolic reflector antenna, have been solved in the paper.
The designed combined antenna is compact, has low weight, and provides high efficiency of UWB EMP radiation and wide bandwidth. The high electric strength of the combined antenna provides a high radiated power.
When using as a feed of a parabolic reflector the developed combined antenna helped to increase the efficiency of the radiator (the amplitude of the electric field at the same distance from the antenna-feeder system increased more than 6 times). In addition, the designed parabolic reflector antenna provides the possibility of the research with a variety of the rise time and duration time of the radiated pulses when using one generator with fixed parameters.
