Abstract:
In case of power increasing and tending to miniaturize receiving-transmitting devices it is frequently required to provide HF unit internal components electromagnetic compatibility without increasing their weight and dimensions. Usually it is solved by using special radio-absorbing materials (RAM). As a rule it is enough to glue thin RAM sheets to HF unit internal surfaces, and in such a way radiation re-reflections from the casing metal walls are eliminated. Such sheets are manufactured in most cases on the basis of a polymer matrix with electro-conductive and/or magnetic filling materials. The works for creating high-performance RAM to reject "spurious" communications within millimeter wavelength device sealed HF units in order to decrease the dimensions and reduce electronic radio equipment unit adjustment labor intensiveness have been carried out in NIIIS. Results of developing of high-performance radio-absorbing material with carbon nano-tubes for 30-37 GHz electromagnetic radiation frequencies have been presented in this paper. The tests have been carried out and RAM characteristics repeatability has been demonstrated.
