Weight vector jitter influence on the spectral power density of the output signal and radiation pattern of adaptive antenna array, tuning according to the LMS algorithm with square constraint

Abstract:
We present the results of statistical analysis of an adaptive antenna array, tuning according to the LMS algorithm with square constraint with allowance for the weight vector fluctuations. Using the perturbation theory method in the first (Born) approximation, we have obtained the expressions for the adaptive antenna array-s output signal spectral power density and radiation pattern. Fluctuations are shown to result in signal distortions at the output of an adaptive antenna array. Weight vector jitter leads to appearance of the new terms in the output signal spectral power density and radiation pattern of the antenna array.
