Abstract:
A model of the field, received by a volumetric array, in terms of complex antenna patterns determined by taking into account the reflection of radio waves from the earth's surface has been developed with the use of the mirror image method. During the simulation the errors of two-dimensional direction finding of aerial and ground targets by known algorithms have been estimated. Ways to reduce these errors on the basis of a double-beam direction finding and taking into account the electrical parameters of the Earth's surface in a place of reflection have been developed and investigated.
