Abstract:
The problem of energy optimization for an antenna array the weight vector of which ensures the formation of several components of the vector directional diagram has been formulated. Energy characteristics of the antenna array are presented as a ratio of Hermitian forms. A method of matrix synthesis of an antenna array, providing the solution of the problem of energy optimization has been proposed. The method is based on finding the maximum eigenvalue of a positive definite matrix. The condition of a positive definite matrix can be obtained by weighing its diagonal elements. An example for an antenna array consisting of the emitters based on three mutually orthogonal dipoles with the matched centers located in free space has been given.
