Abstract:
The formula for calculation of a circular (radial) mean square error of location finding of radio emission sources in 3D space by goniometric method is derived. The resulting formula accounts statistical independence of modules and signs of measurement errors at spaced points of radio waves' angles-of-arrival registration both in horizontal and in vertical planes. Quantitative estimations of possible rise of circular mean square error calculation accuracy of radio emission sources location are provided when applying goniometric method in 3D space.
