Abstract:
This paper describes a novel principle based on the Monte Carlo method that makes possible estimating the planar near-field antenna measurement system accuracy parameters. The insufficient of the modern metrological system in case near-field antenna measurements is shown.
For this problem solving a novel principle is developed. There are two stages (experimental and computational) in this principle. On the first stage amplitude and phase distribution of the electromagnetic field tangential components are measured and further uncertainty of these measurements is calculated. The next stage providing the Monte Carlo method realization with special computing algorithm for near-field antenna measurement system accuracy parameters are obtained.
The experimental stage of proposing principle was successfully tested by the standard gain horn antenna and typical planar near-field antenna measurement system.
