Abstract:
Problems of modeling of the ultrawideband (UWB) spiral antenna are considered in the article. The choice of an optimum design of UWB antenna providing demanded characteristics of pattern and dimensional characteristics in the band of frequencies is necessary for decision of problems of development of antennas for pulse UWB signals radiation. It is most reasonable to use the spiral antenna for formation of the directed radiation in the plane, which is orthogonal to the aperture, in wide band of frequencies. UWB spiral antenna possesses much more broadband properties in comparison with famous antenna Vivaldi. The design of the spiral antenna consisting of two dielectric layers and three layers of metallization is described in article. The structure of the spiral antenna allowed to provide necessary characteristics in matching (voltage state wave ratio less than 2,5 in working bank) and in directed properties of radiation. The description of the measuring stand for an valuation of the spiral antenna characteristics is provided in the article, and also the characteristics of the pulse transceiver module for which the developed antenna can be used are provided.
