Abstract:
The formulas for minimum number of controlled radiators of an antenna system with electrical scanning within a contoured service area are considered. It is shown that this number can be represented as the ratio of the antenna directivity in some direction inside the area and the directivity of the ideal contoured pattern covering this service area. Two examples are presented.
