Electrodynamic analysis of asymmetric ridged waveguide and radiating slot elements on its basis

Abstract:
The electromagnetic fields and cut-off wave numbers for the asymmetric ridged waveguide are calculated by the method of partial regions including field singularity at the edge. The cross section asymmetry effects by the ridge shift to the waveguides walls and by the difference of the side regions height on the electromagnetic field structure and on the surface currents for the dominant mode are investigated. The single slot antenna and antenna array based on asymmetric ridged waveguide with the difference of the side regions height are simulated.
