Assuarance of load-balancing in scalable computing distributed systems

Abstract:
Structure heterogeneity of the existing automated control systems results in a low level of functional subsystems compatibility and, therefore, the high level of complexity of their operation. Giving properties of maximum structural homogeneity is one of the approaches to overcome specialized automated control systems problems of heterogeneity, which in practice means building automation systems based on the composition of the minimum set of standardized modules. The architecture of the computer systems of automated complexes may be related to distributed and scalable type. Therefore it is necessary to ensure load balancing of servers. The following is considered: - specificity of the problem solution in condition of entry to the system requests, which is a combination of flows from deterministic and stochastic tasks; - tools arsenal which can be applied to the balance of servers load: general purpose software, system software and tools provided by the specific hardware and software platform. Analysis of the potential tools to load balancing results in an iterative approach to the issue of load balancing based on a combination of static and dynamic methods.
