Abstract:
The purpose of the paper is to investigate the antenna which ensures a linear frequency modulation signal-s compression without any supplemental equipment. The offered antenna is similar to the log-periodic one, but differs from it dipoles coordinates and lengths . The change of the logarithmic periodicity law permits to correct a phase-frequency characteristic of the antenna, having approximated it to characteristic of the matсhed filter. The outcome is compression of a radiated signal. Simulation of the antenna was carried out by means of computer program based on a finite integrals technique. The instance of the linear frequency modulation signal by duration 30 ns with a frequency band of 667-1333 MHz is described. The relevant antenna consist of 30 dipoles, it-s length is 0,5 m. Calculations have shown that duration of a radiated signal decreases approximately in 8 times. The effect of compression happens owing to a signal-s dispersion in the antenna due to which low frequencies are delayed more strongly, than high frequencies, and the selected law of a dispersion ensures addition of spectral components in a far-field region.
