Sensitivity of the Peak-Phase Radio Direction Finder with the Antenna Array Based on Log-Periodic Antenna

Abstract:
Capacity for work of the three-step direction finding procedure are show, and for condition providing of unmeaning for phase method of direction finding the minimum limiting signal-to-noise ratio on the connectors of antennas of the direction finding eighteen-elements antenna array for the maximum, middle geometrical and minimum lengths waves of the work band with the fourfold overlap are corroborate. Results of estimation of direction finding accuracy, which correspond a minimum field strength of electromagnetic field of direction finding radio radiation sources in place of mount of eighteen-elements antenna array of a radio direction finder and define by meanings of middle square errors 0,9°, 0,4° and accordingly for the maximum, middle geometrical and minimum lengths waves of the work band with the fourfold overlap are given.
