Superbroadband phased antenna massive for system of communication in short wave (SW) range

Abstract:
The phased antenna massive (PAM) working in a range 1.5 - 30 MHz is developed. PAM is executed by ring scheme in a range of 5-30 MHz, and by arc scheme in a range 1.5 - 5 MHz which forms orientation diagramme in a kind cardioide. Thus construction and placing of elements will not change, that is important for its expansion and operation. Transition from ring to arc PAM occurs by change of a scheme power of elements. The block diagram of the device which allow make ring-arc power supply circuitis developed. Moving of maximum orientation diagram to space is carried out by a choice of a serial number of an element. The transition size makes 30°, thus there is an overlapping of sector of radiation on frequencies from 1,5 to 7 MHz. On higher frequencies it is necessary to carry out intermediate scanning in angular sector between the next radiators.
Modelling RPAM by means of software MMANA allows to calculate orientation diagrammes, to receive impedances and currents of radiators taking into account their mutual influence. The variant of usage ring PAM in the form of two arc antenna massive has allowed to receive suppression of back radiation in a range of frequencies (1.5 - 4.9999) MHz to 5 - 10 dB and to increase an active component of an impedance.
The described design of RPAM allows to receive stable characteristics of the directed radiation in SW range and provides management of orientation diagram
