Synthesis of Amplitude Aperture Distribution Active PAA in the Transferring Mode at Restrictions on the Maximum Amplitude of Output Signals of Active Modules and an Energy Potential of an Antenna array

Abstract:
For active PAA with solid-state active modules in the transferring channel the problem of synthesis of amplitude aperture distribution, providing minimization of RMS of side lobe levels at restrictions on the maximum amplitude of output signals of active modules and the energy potential is formulated. Creation of a tapering field in a transfer mode, for example, parabolic or Taylor, leads to losses in the potential of APAA: . Factor where ? amplitude of driven n-th radiator;  number of radiators of an antenna array; at uniform and at tapering distributions. The task in view of synthesis of amplitude aperture distribution on an example circular and linear APAA is considered as a mathematical problem of optimization at restrictions on admissible energy potential decrease and on output signals of active modules. Results of numerical calculation of amplitude distributions for a case when restrictions on quantity of elements with tapering distribution in circular antenna array were not imposed are shown on fig. 2. It is shown that realization of optimum amplitude distributions in comparison with known distributions (parabolic or Taylor) allows to lower side lobe radiation in large part of visible area at essentially smaller losses in energy potential if the sector of minimization side lobe levels does not include the first or some first side lobes of antenna pattern. So, optimum distribution at provides the same decrease in the capacity radiated in side lobe (10 dB), as well as parabolic at .
