Results of numerical and experimental investigation of radiation pattern of a rod dielectric feed are presented. Opportunity of increase frequency band of a feed due to application Teflon insert is shown. Comparison of numerical and experimental radiation patterns of a rod dielectric feed and feed with Teflon insert are demonstrated. This feed provides small variation of a field within the limits of a working zone of compact range and a low level of a field on an edge of reflector.
