In modern ecology, more and more attention is being paid to the study of the influence of ecotoxicants on the reproductive function of animals and humans. One of the important causes of infertility, and this fact is confirmed by a number of authors, are pesticides, substances that are used to control pests in the agricultural sector of the economy.
Objective – the study was performed from 2020 to 2025 in Moscow on the basis of a private Moscow clinic for reproductive Medicine. The study included 56 men aged 25 to 45 years who had been working with ecotoxicants, pesticides and pesticides for more than a year and were examined for impaired reproductive function. Criteria for studying the reproductive function of men: the age of puberty of men from 25 to 45 years; more than a year of work related to ecotoxicants, pesticides and pesticides; permanent residence and work in a large agricultural holding (Moscow region); absence of infectious and non-infectious diagnoses of the genitourinary system; There was no use of hormone replacement therapy until the time of inclusion in the study.
An extremely negative environmental aspect of men's long-term work with ecotoxicants, pesticides, pesticides, and fertilizers was a decrease in the percentage of straight-line sperm by 17.05 % (p < 0.001) and an increase in the percentage of necrospermia by 18.37 % (p < 0.001).
The data obtained can contribute to the development of primary disease prevention in young men working in agricultural holdings with ecotoxicants, pesticides, and fertilizers for more than a year.
