In educational organizations, there is an active use of computer technologies, which are aimed at expanding the prospects of the information space, on the one hand, and increasing control over the effectiveness of educational activities, on the other. In this case, special attention is paid to computer testing methods, which are widely used in the learning process and during sessions. At the same time, this combination of conditions leads the body to the formation of informational and emotional stress, causing physiological instability of the body’s autonomic functions, and subsequently leading to the development of psychosomatic disorders.
The purpose of the work is to study the role of vegetative stress in students when taking computer testing.
A study of 100 students of different years of study was conducted at the Dagestan State Medical University. Research methods - the duration of a complex (CP, ms) and simple (PR, ms) sensorimotor reaction, the number of accurate (RDOT) reactions to a moving object, the number of errors made during a complex choice reaction (CP, osh.), the number of correct answers ( software) during educational testing. Clinical signs are also included: heart rate (HR), respiratory rate, blood pressure (BP). It is shown that the data from computer educational testing show both the level of knowledge and the students’ own physiological and psychophysiological characteristics. The number of correct answers when completing the educational test was higher for students with a greater number of accurate reactions and a lower level of sensorimotor reactions to a moving object. In individuals who received high results in educational and sensorimotor tests, lability of vegetative indicators was revealed, which was recorded in changes in the ratio of signs of heart rate and pressure and absolute values in accordance with the stages of activity. During sensorimotor tests, an increase in the coefficient of variation (CV), the total power of the heart rate variability (HRV) spectrum, was revealed as a result of an increase in the power of the VLF component (Very Low Frequency), which reflects the possibility of activation of voluntary attention processes. When testing knowledge activity, a decrease in the total power and power of the HF component (High Frequency) of the BCP spectrum was shown with an increase in arterial or pulse pressure (BP, PP, respectively). This indicates the manifestation of mobilization of vegetative functions. Physiological instability of autonomic functions, allowing a student to effectively adapt to the conditions of computerized intellectual activity, appears as an increased level of balanced parasympathetic and sympathetic effects on the state of the cardiovascular system, reflected in an increase in the power values of both LF and HF ranges of the BCP spectrum, when LF/HF close to unity. When low performance results are obtained, the power level of the LF and HF ranges of the BCP spectrum in the initial state is recorded at a low value. This indicates a low tone of the sympathetic and parasympathetic centers involved in the regulation of heart rate, with the relative dominance of sympathetic effects on cardiac activity. These subjects showed an increase in heart rate (HR) and a decrease in total power (TP), which indicates the dominance of the defensive component of intellectual activity and the presence of vegetative stress during testing.
Recently, there has been a high increase in the information load of students in educational and educational activities, which has acquired important significance in the diagnosis of functional reserves and student health.
