The widespread occurrence of food allergies and food intolerance is one of the most significant problems of modern medicine. The urgency of the problem is associated with an increase in the frequency of occurrence of this pathology associated with the peculiarities of nutrition, the emergence of new technologies for processing and preserving products, the introduction of insufficiently studied components into the diet.
The purpose of the work – to systematize the literature data on the problems of clinical control of food allergies and food intolerance.
The review covers the main classifications of allergic reactions, controversial issues of traditional and innovative diagnostics, and the aim is prevention severe forms of allergic diseases and food intolerance.
Prevention of food allergies and food intolerance reduces the economic burden on the healthcare system, improves the quality of life of patients, providing a favorable social and psychological climate.
