Abstract:

The aim of this work is to evaluate the role of determining the activity of LDH and GGT in urine in the complex diagnosis of urate nephrolithiasis.

Material and methods. The experiments were carried out on 43 male Wistar rats. The animals were divided into 4 groups: intact group (n=10), comparison group (n=10), control group-1 (n=15), control group-2 (n=8). In the control groups, urate nephrolithiasis was modeled by administration of a mixture containing oxonic acid at a dose of 500 mg / kg and uric acid at a dose of 1000 mg/kg for 3 weeks. In the comparison group, oxalate nephrolithiasis was modeled in animals in accordance with the generally accepted ethylene glycol model. Once a week, daily urine was collected, in which the activity of LDH and GGT was measured, and the ratio of LDH activity to GGT (KLDG⁄GGT) was calculated. The amount and size of oxalate and urate deposits were determined in the renal tissue. In the course of the study, the following results were obtained. In the comparison group, the experimental animals showed a consistent increase in the activity of LDH and GGT, the value of the coefficient KLDH⁄GGT during the entire experiment did not undergo statistically significant changes relative to the baseline level. In the renal tubules of the rats of the comparison group, deposits of calcium deposits of various shapes and sizes were recorded. In the control groups, the LDH activity increased, but the GGT activity significantly decreased. The value of the KLDG коэффициента GGT coefficient increased throughout the experiment. The morphological picture in control groups 1 and 2 reflected the development of urate nephrolithiasis.

Conclusion. In the conditions of experimental urate nephrolithiasis, there is an increase in the activity of LDH and a decrease in the activity of GGT. The value of the KLDG коэффициента GGT coefficient increases consistently. This is a distinctive feature of the biochemical picture of urate nephrolithiasis.
