Abstract:
With the use of the program STATISTICA 6.1 relationships between popular daily consumption rates (DCR) of 40 kinds of foodstuff and incidence rates (IR) of a cancer of different localizations (25 kinds) for men and women in 162 ethnic populations are investigated. By means of Spearman correlation analysis positive correlations of DCR of the majority of products (90 %) with IR of 84 % of the investigated kinds of cancer are revealed, and for DCR of 25 % of products significant high positive correlation (r > 0,70) with IR of 32 % of different kinds of cancer is established. The more DCR of energy, protein, meat of pork, cheese, eggs, apples, potato, wine, beer and iron of "animal", the more incidence rate of the cancer of large intestines, kidney, brain, lung, breast, corpus of uterus and prostate. DCR of corn, rice and energy deficiency have significant negative correlations with IR of 90% of the investigated kinds of cancer, i.e. the more consumption of corn and rice, the less IR for the majority of cancer kinds. IR for 4 kinds of cancer (the cancer of liver, nasopharynx, cervix and Kaposi sarcoma) have significant negative correlations with DCR of 90 % of products and positive correlations with DCR of corn, rice and energy deficiency.
Besides all, it is established, that IR for all kinds of cancer, except for the cancer of liver, nasopharynx, cervix and Kaposi sarcoma, have positive correlation (r = 0,50 0,77) with the geographical latitude and the daily income per capita. The further from equator populations are located and the more the income per capita, the more IR for the majority of kinds of cancer.
