Problem statement. The development of an effective video data transmission system from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) requires the use of modern modulation technologies. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a promising solution that provides high-speed data transmission and resistance to multipath propagation of the signal typical for communication channels with UAVs. An effective OFDM system will allow real-time video data transmission from UAVs to the ground, opening up new possibilities for monitoring, surveillance and other applications.
Goal. Development of the OFDM digital system for the transmission channel of video data from UAVs, which allows to achieve high bandwidth data transmission over a downlink.
Results. The simulation results show that the proposed system structure, including an encoder and a quadrature amplitude modulation converter, ensures reliable data modulation. The generation of signals in the I-Q plane allows efficient use of the frequency band, which ensures resistance to multipath and interference.
Practical significance. The results obtained make it possible to achieve significant data transfer speeds, which is critical for video communications, where delays or packet loss can negatively affect the quality of the resulting image.
