Abstract:

In the trajectory processing of radar information, each tracked object is serviced with a specified period (specified frequency). The tracking periods can be different for different tracked objects as well as for a single tracked object at different moments in time. The tracking periods and the length of memory filter influence the tracking accuracy of diffusion filters. This paper focuses on selecting the parameters for diffusion filters that approximate finite-memory filters in steady-state. The new parameters are selected with respect to given parameters such as the base tracking period and the base length of memory filter. The base parameters determine the base tracking accuracy and the base lag errors. The new parameters can improve tracking accuracy and lag errors.
