The tasks solved using wireless sensor networks are quite diverse. In particular, one can highlight the task related to the estimation of some parameter of a radiation source being observed, that is, it is required to synthesize an algorithm for complex estimation that would be optimal in some sense. The paper shows that such an algorithm, unlike the known ones, should take into account the distribution of the estimated parameter. Four main models of such distribution are considered, assuming that the estimated parameter is nonpower. Two algorithms for complex estimation are introduced, each of which depends on the type of the specified model. Using computer simulation, an analysis of the proposed algorithms is performed, based on which conditional characteristics of the considered estimates such as biases and variances are obtained. The results obtained allow identifying the conditions of operation of the developed systems that ensure the required efficiency of estimation.
