Abstract:

This article acquaints with a procedure for detecting the presence of simulated interference, commonly known as spoofing, in navigation systems. The approach is based on the analysis of the direction from which radio signals originate. The feasibility of employing phase measurements generated by a navigation receiver equipped with a phased array projection, referred to as a Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA), for this purpose is being experimentally evaluated.

The proposed process is designed to provide effective protection against spoofing and is compatible with commercially available navigation systems.
