Abstract:

Problem statement. The task of promptly determining the current location of an aircraft carrying a radio emission source (RES) is highly relevant. One of the most effective ways to solve this problem is by using difference-range method, which involves comparing the moments of receiving the emitted signal at four different locations. The advantages of the method include the speed of decision-making, the minimum composition of the receiving equipment, and the variability of application (both stationary and mobile systems can be used as a signal receiver. The solution to the problem should be unconditional, operational, and easily implementable using simple computational tools.

Objective. To develop, describe, and justify an algorithm for оперативно determining the location of an IRI in a three-dimensional space.
